Role Description

Infosys is seeking a Senior SAP HCM ABAP Developer. As a Senior Developer, you will be a key player in the consulting team that helps discover and define the problem statement, evaluates the solution options and makes recommendations. You will create detailed design, architecture and process artifacts and implement the deployment plan. You will also support knowledge transfer with the objective of providing value-adding consulting solutions that enable our clients to meet the changing needs of the global landscape.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
  • At least 4 years of experience with Information Technology.
  • This role may involve elevated access to Impact Level 4 (IL4) data and/or security requirements for handling controlled unclassified information (CUI) and sensitive data as defined by US Department of Defense (DoD). Hence the eligible candidates must be US citizens or Permanent Residents only.
  • This position may require travel to Project/client locations.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of experience in complex SAP environments.
  • Design, develop, and support SAP HR ABAP solutions for Time Management, Time & Labor, and CATS (CATSDB) modules.
  • Develop and enhance ABAP reports, interfaces, user exits, BAdIs, and enhancements related to employee time recording and payroll integration.
  • Support CATSDB configuration and customization, including time entry, approvals, validations, and data transfers to Payroll, CO, and FI.
  • Build and maintain interfaces for Time & Labor data using IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, and file-based integrations.
  • Analyze and resolve production issues related to time evaluation, absence quotas, work schedules, and labor distribution.
  • Collaborate with functional HR teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with audit, security, and data accuracy standards for time and labor reporting.
  • Perform unit testing, UAT support, performance tuning, and documentation.
  • Support upgrades, enhancements, and ongoing HR system maintenance.
  • Strong hands-on experience in SAP ABAP for HCM/HR.
  • Expertise in CATSDB, Time Management, and Time & Labor.
  • Experience with Payroll integration.
  • Knowledge of HR infotypes, schemas, and time evaluation.
  • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
  • SAP ECC / S/4HANA HR experience.
  • Workflow and approvals for CATS.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of SAP modules.
  • Providing support during system upgrades, enhancements, and maintenance activities.
  • Conducting training sessions and workshops for end-users and key stakeholders.
  • Developing and maintaining documentation related to system configuration and processes.
  • Resolving technical issues and troubleshooting problems within the SAP system.
  • Monitoring system performance and implementing necessary improvements.
  • Ensuring the integration of SAP solutions with business goals and processes.
