Job Description
Role Description
This position supports the administration and analysis of compensation programs and processes across Tufts Medicine, including consultation on offer recommendations, participation in salary surveys, and preparation of compensation reports. Responsibilities include:
- Conducting market analysis
- Performing job evaluations
- Developing job descriptions
- Maintaining the Tufts Medicine job architecture
- Analyzing compensation data to ensure data accuracy
- Supporting system optimization
- Providing insights that promote consistent and equitable compensation practices
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in human resources, business administration, data analytics, finance, or related field AND completion of a compensation specific internship
- OR Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, data analytics, finance, or a related field AND one (1) year of experience in data analysis, effectively utilizing Microsoft Excel to interpret and organize data
Requirements
- Three (3) years of healthcare compensation experience (preferred)
- Experience with Workday (preferred)
- Experience with compensation analytics tools such as Payfactors (preferred)
- Experience working with Microsoft Excel (preferred)
- Experience supporting health systems (preferred)

Physical Requirements
- Work environment is a professional office environment with typical office requirements such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, etc.
- This is largely a sedentary role, which involves sitting most of the time, but may involve movements such as walking, standing, reaching, ascending/descending stairs, and operating office equipment.
- Frequently required to speak, hear, communicate, and exchange information.
- Ability to see and read computer displays, read fine print, and/or normal type size print and distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols.
- Ability to work in confined or open environment.
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment.

- Strong communication skills
- Detail oriented with emphasis on accuracy
- Organizational, project, and time management skills, with the ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects and competing priorities
- Must be comfortable and able to work in a fast-paced changing environment
- Ability to handle information in a manner which protects its confidentiality
- Must have analytical skills, including the use of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Must maintain a working knowledge of federal and state labor laws related to compensation and all aspects of human resources
Pay Range
$72,371.94 - $90,464.92
