Role Description
The Business Development Representative will make a meaningful impact by connecting with potential customers, understanding their needs, and scheduling appointments for our Account Executives. This role requires exceptional communication and active listening skills, combined with a drive for success. The Business Development Representative will play a vital role in effectively addressing objections and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Conduct cold phone and email outreach to prospective clients.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of potential customers through ongoing lead-generation activities.
- Engage prospects by gathering key information and demonstrating Back Office's value during discovery calls.
- Handle objections and address concerns raised by potential customers.
- Assess the suitability of prospects and qualify them as sales opportunities.
- Spearhead new initiatives, deliver market feedback, and collaborate cross-functionally with sales and marketing.
- Track and report key data points using Salesforce.
- Schedule appointments and meetings with qualified prospects for the sales team.
- Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities to enhance sales skills and product knowledge.
- Drive toward results by meeting monthly/quarterly/yearly quotas.
Qualifications
- 2+ years in a sales role, experience selling to foodservice retailers preferred.
- Experience in and an understanding of the foodservice industry within retail.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of sales tools and Salesforce CRM systems.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Active listening abilities.
- Sales aptitude.
- Self-motivation and drive.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Problem-solving ability.
