Role Description

The Sr. Accountant is responsible for preparing and reviewing financial documents, reports, and statements. They oversee all accounting procedures while advising on general finance matters. Key responsibilities include:

• Analyzing the cost structure of the business and extracting actionable information to improve profitability.
• Responsible for the monthly financial reporting process, including financial statement preparation and ad hoc requests from management.
• Adhering to accounting and control processes following general accounting principles and company policies.
• Overseeing daily activities of the accounting department, including supervising and training accounting staff.
• Assisting in the preparation of payroll records, bank reconciliation, accounts payable/receivable, and general ledger.
• Cooperating with auditors.

Qualifications

• Proven work experience as a Senior Accountant.
• Exceptional knowledge of US GAAP through demonstrated work experience.
• Competency using large-scale ERP/Accounting systems; experience with accounting software, Vista preferred.
• Self-motivated with strong analytical, administrative, and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly advanced knowledge of Excel.
• Professional integrity and accountability.
• Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
• Solid knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, laws, and regulations.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Professional and friendly demeanor.
• Excellent attendance and reliability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of progressive accounting and reporting experience.
• Three to Seven (3-7) years of full P&L or general accounting experience in a mid-to-large firm.
• 3-5 years construction background preferred.
• 1 year minimum required experience for Viewpoint products; Vista preferred.
• Prior experience in ERP systems and data extractions from databases; Vista experience preferred.
