Role Description
The Development Senior Manager (DSM) at Breakthrough T1D is integral in the day-to-day execution of integrated fundraising efforts to support our organizational strategy and mission.
- Build relationships with constituents and donors to expand reach and support maximum chapter and event growth.
- Focus on relationship building with donors, sponsors, and fundraising volunteers within assigned events and portfolio.
- Drive impact and strengthen donor and volunteer pipeline resulting in increased revenue and results.
- Implement activities to support organizational strategies through assigned events and personal portfolio.
- Oversee and lead the San Antonio Promise Ball and Golf Tournament, raising over $1.6 million annually.
- Manage other chapter fundraising efforts and maintain a portfolio of donors and sponsors.
- This position is primarily remote with occasional in-field responsibilities; minimal travel (1–3 trips per year).
Qualifications
- 5-8 years of fundraising experience in a complex, mission-driven organization with revenue responsibilities over $500k.
- Experience in large scale events (walks, galas, etc.).
- Strong skills in identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of donors and supporters.
- Experience partnering with strong and active volunteers.
- Demonstrated success in securing five and six figure gifts.
- Ability to maintain an extensive network of strategic relationships in the local area.
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM databases.
- College degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
