Role Description

Our client is seeking a Salesforce Architect to lead the evolution of their Salesforce ecosystem and bring structure, scalability, and strategic direction to a platform that has grown incrementally through multiple contractor implementations. This is a newly created role offering significant visibility and influence across the organization.

The ideal candidate is an entrepreneurial problem-solver who enjoys diving into complex systems, experimenting with solutions, and establishing best practices that enable long-term scalability. This role partners closely with IT, Finance, and Sales leadership to design a robust architecture that supports the organization’s growth and product initiatives.

This is a hands-on opportunity for a professional who balances strategic thinking with execution—someone comfortable working with evolving systems, learning quickly, and driving solutions through curiosity, testing, and iteration.

Key Responsibilities

• Salesforce Architecture & Strategy
  • Assess and enhance the current Salesforce architecture, which has evolved through multiple contractor-led implementations.
  • Establish governance, best practices, and scalable architecture standards across the Salesforce platform.
  • Design and implement a structured, maintainable system to replace existing ad-hoc processes.
• Lead-to-Cash System Development
  • Architect and implement a comprehensive lead-to-cash workflow within Salesforce to support a new product launch.
  • Build and optimize pipeline processes across Salesforce and integrated business systems.
  • Ensure seamless data flow across platforms to support accurate reporting and operational efficiency.
• API & System Integration
  • Design and manage API integrations that enable reliable data exchange between Salesforce and other core business platforms.
  • Ensure consistent and accurate data movement to support business workflows, analytics, and reporting.
• Salesforce & Certinia (FinancialForce) Integration
  • Develop a unified architecture connecting Salesforce and Certinia (FinancialForce) for financial and operational processes.
  • Improve platform interoperability by reducing data silos and eliminating inefficient manual workarounds.
  • Implement enhanced reporting capabilities and automation for previously manual processes.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with IT, Finance, and Sales teams to ensure Salesforce aligns with business strategy and operational priorities.
  • Translate stakeholder requirements into scalable technical architecture and practical system solutions.

Qualifications

• Required Experience
  • Strong experience with Salesforce architecture and platform development.
  • Proven success designing and implementing API integrations across enterprise systems.
  • Experience building or optimizing lead-to-cash or revenue lifecycle workflows.
  • Ability to assess complex existing environments and implement scalable architectural improvements.
• Preferred Experience
  • Experience with Certinia / FinancialForce (highly preferred).
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with financial systems or ERP platforms.
  • Background working in environments with rapidly evolving systems and limited technical resources.
