Role Description
We are seeking a Contract Complex Commercial Litigation Attorney to support our Phoenix-based litigation practice. This flexible hybrid/remote role is ideal for an experienced litigator who can independently manage substantive assignments in complex civil matters while contributing to case strategy.
- Conducting legal research
- Drafting pleadings, motions, memoranda, and other litigation documents
- Analyzing case law to support litigation strategy
- Assisting with discovery, including drafting and responding to written discovery
- Reviewing documents and evidence
- Preparing for depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial preparation
- Contributing to case strategy discussions
- Identifying legal issues and risks within assigned matters
- Managing deadlines and assignments independently
- Communicating professionally with attorneys, staff, and clients
Qualifications
- Licensed and in good standing with the Arizona State Bar
- Minimum of 3 years of commercial litigation experience (more experienced candidates encouraged to apply)
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage assignments independently and meet deadlines
- Professional judgment and attention to detail
- Experience with Arizona courts, procedures, and rules
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with a legal team
- Experience preparing for depositions, hearings, or trial is a plus
- Familiarity with litigation technology and case management systems preferred
