Role Description
We are seeking a highly talented and experienced engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Facility Liquid Cooling Systems. In this role, the engineer will interface with engineering design firms, contractors, and site production teams to establish and maintain facility cooling and distribution systems. The role will cover multiple sites and will be part of a larger team that establishes capabilities and procedures for global operations.
- Engage with contractors and manufacturing staff to identify the appropriate Facility Cooling System designs needed to meet process requirements.
- Research product technologies and present objective evaluations to guide capital purchase decisions.
- Establish processes to manage all aspects of operation to cover safety, critical controls, preventive maintenance, and ongoing performance evaluation.
- Engage with site and corporate product teams to understand production and customer requirements and present feasible solutions.
- Engage with ASHRAE industry groups to ensure compliance with industry practices and standards.
- Use 3D modeling methods to analyze technical designs and communicate concepts.
- Engage with site facility teams to maintain compliance with local safety and environmental regulations.
- 25% travel mainly in North America.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in the design, commissioning, and operation of large-scale cooling systems.
- Proven experience in thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer principles.
- Experience with data center cooling solutions is a plus.
Requirements
- Ability to manage/lead complex, multiple line engineering projects that may also involve other functions.
- Demonstrate solid understanding of the technical, budgeting, and people aspects of the project.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality, and production, to achieve program objectives.
- Create project/change management plans to ensure that the projects are delivered within the assigned time and budget.
- Ability to recognize project barriers and develop mitigation plans.
