Role Description
As a member of the Digital Merchandising team:
- You will have a direct impact on Algolia’s user adoption and revenue stream.
- You will play a pivotal role in architecting and implementing new products, that will play a central role for the future of Algolia.
- You will be in the driver seat to innovate in the multi-billion dollar market eCommerce industry.
- Work closely with the rest of R&D teams to deliver the next generation products.
Your role will consist of:
- Be a key full-stack contributor to the design, development, and operation of the Merchandising services at scale.
- Be responsible for the quality, reliability and availability of the system.
- Work with other teams to build features and resolve high impact issues.
Qualifications
- Experience building and working with APIs at scale preferably in Golang and backend experience in Ruby on Rails.
- Rigor in high code quality, automated testing, and other engineering best practices.
- Located in US Eastern or Central time zones.
- Preference for candidates with experience at our current stage and beyond (over 10,000 customers, $200-500M ARR range, high growth, lots of change and building internal infrastructure).
Requirements
- Experience in C++.
- Experience working with large datasets and high traffic.
- Experience in Site Reliability Engineering.
- Experience in Kubernetes based deployments.

- Remote US: Base Salary Pay Range $176,000 — $215,000 USD.
