Job Description

• Complete all accounting functions including journal entries for both accounts payable, accounts receivable, accruals and other day to day accounting activities • Is responsible for setting up monthly payroll in ADP to be reviewed by COO before initiation, as well as journaling monthly payroll • Work closely with HR to ensure smooth on-boarding of new hires • Completes monthly cash reconciliation to organization’s bank accounts and general ledger • Assures that all financial statements are accurate and complete on a monthly basis • Serves as the lead for all external audit functions and 990 creation, including preparing YE financials for review • In collaboration with COO responsible for continuous improvement of financials reporting, dashboards, account structures, and integrations • Manage credit card payments and reconciliations • Coordinate with business line leaders to submit and manage invoices on client third party payment platforms

Job Requirements

  • A passion for Living Future’s mission
  • Strong accounting background with a strong preference for experience with Sage Intacct, and ADP payroll software, Salesforce, MS Excel
  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience, preferably in nonprofit/fund accounting
  • Experience building out dashboards in Sage Intacct, or other financial software or ERP systems strongly preferred
  • Experience with audits and 990 preparation strongly preferred
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal direction, within established procedures
  • Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a variety of people representing different organizations, backgrounds and experiences.
