Role Description
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Security Engineer to join our Information Security team. This remote role is ideal for candidates located on the East Coast of the U.S. who are passionate about building and maintaining secure systems. The Security Engineer will play a key role in designing, implementing, and managing security technologies and controls across Access Corp’s infrastructure.
- Design, implement, and manage security solutions across cloud and on-prem environments.
- Monitor and respond to security alerts and incidents, ensuring timely resolution and documentation.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation efforts with IT and development teams.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to improve security operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Support compliance initiatives (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA) by implementing and validating security controls.
- Research and evaluate emerging security technologies and threats.
- Contribute to security awareness and training initiatives across the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in a security engineering or operations role.
- Strong understanding of cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP), network security, and endpoint protection.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash).
- Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, CIS, MITRE ATT&CK).
- Hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR, IAM, and vulnerability management tools.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, AWS Security Specialty) are a plus.
