Role Description

The Virtual Arkansas Media & Facilitator Resources Designer supports the ArPEP project team by developing facilitator-facing resources and assisting with media that enhances program implementation. This role focuses primarily on creating clear, practical materials that support the face-to-face facilitation of the ArPEP program.

  • Create and develop reference-style resources such as:
    • Facilitator guides for face-to-face delivery
    • Presentation slide decks to support facilitator-led sessions
    • Reference documents or quick-start guides to support facilitator implementation
    • Additional facilitator resources as identified by the project team
  • Ensure all facilitator resources:
    • Clearly explain program structure, activities, and expectations
    • Use clear, plain language appropriate for facilitators
    • Are organized and easy to follow during live facilitation
  • Assist the project team with media support for program content, including:
    • Curating appropriate images and visual assets to support instructional materials
    • Identifying or creating video resources to enhance program content
    • Designing simple visual supports, such as diagrams, infographics, or illustrations, when needed
  • Collaborate with team members to:
    • Determine facilitator resource and media needs for the program
    • Confirm the accuracy and clarity of facilitator-facing materials
    • Ensure materials align with the instructional goals of the ArPEP program
  • Ensure all media and materials:
    • Align with the Virtual Arkansas and ArPEP branding and style guidelines
    • Follow accessibility best practices where applicable
  • Use AI-assisted tools, when appropriate, to support drafting, organizing, or developing facilitator resources and media assets
  • Maintain organized project files and materials within the project workflow
  • Meet project deadlines and communicate progress as needed
  • Abide by all Virtual Arkansas and applicable Arch Ford ESC policies and regulations
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Strong creative design skills with the ability to explain instructional processes and activities clearly
  • Ability to create user-friendly guides and facilitator-facing documentation
  • Basic digital media design skills, including working with images, video, and visual supports
  • Ability to curate or create simple multimedia assets to enhance instructional content
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies, including AI-assisted tools
  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (minimum); Master’s degree preferred
  • Experience developing guides, instructional documentation, or training materials preferred
  • Experience working with instructional media, graphics, or multimedia resources desirable
  • Familiarity with professional learning programs, facilitator-led training, or instructional design preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to produce clear, practical facilitator resources and instructional materials
