Description
Key Responsibilities
- Develop responsive, accessible, and modern user interfaces in the ServiceNow Service Portal using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, AngularJS, and Bootstrap.
- Customize and enhance existing Service Portals, widgets, and workspace components to improve performance and usability.
- Translate user stories, wireframes, and design mockups into functional, reusable components within ServiceNow.
- Work closely with senior developers, architects, and project managers to estimate, implement, test, and deploy requested features.
- Support the configuration of ServiceNow applications, including Service Catalog, Knowledge Management, and custom portal widgets.
- Participate in code reviews, peer programming sessions, and knowledgesharing workshops to continuously learn and improve practices.
- Write and maintain technical documentation for all new and modified functionality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly, providing excellent communication with internal and client stakeholders.
- Collaborate within Agile teams to plan and deliver highquality sprint outcomes.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- 2–4 years of experience designing and developing ServiceNow Service Portals using HTML, CSS, AngularJS, and Bootstrap.
- Experience customizing and extending ServiceNow applications and modules (e.g., ITSM, HRSD, CSM, or SPM).
- Working knowledge of JavaScript and familiarity with UI design best practices for scalability and performance.
- Strong understanding of ServiceNow platform architecture, client/serverside scripting, and data models.
- Experience working with REST and SOAP APIs for integrating external data sources when building portal widgets.
- Ability to clearly communicate technical information to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) and ServiceNow Portal Fundamentals certification preferred, or the ability to obtain within six months of hire.
- US Citizen with the ability to attain a public trust clearance.
- Handson experience with additional ServiceNow UI frameworks such as UI Builder, UI Macros, and UI Pages.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, sprint planning, and version control tools (e.g., Git, Azure DevOps, or ServiceNow Source Control).
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment and deliver on schedule.
- Strong problemsolving, analytical, and time management skills.
- Experience across the Software Development Life Cycle, from requirements definition through testing and deployment.
- Experience supporting clients in the U.S. Federal Government or similar regulated industries.
- Ability to work efficiently in hybrid and remote team environments.
