The Role

You will drive research and analytics from ideation → programming → insight → client-ready presentation. Senior analyst hires will lead client analytics and present findings. 

 

What You’ll Do

  • Design and execute empirical research on Medicare & Medicaid topics (from methodology to code to client-ready presentations). 
  • Build, QC, and automate datasets and models; turn results into clear stories for clients and internal stakeholders. 
  • Prototype creative solutions to technical problems (data linkage, feature engineering, performance, reproducibility). 
  • Translate complex analyses into clear narratives and executive-ready exhibits (PowerPoint/Excel), present to client leadership. 
  • Collaborate across ATI teams to align methods and deliver high levels of efficiency and ownership. 
  • Lead client-facing analytics and set technical direction. 
  • Review code, establish standards, mentor other team members, and foster a high quality, high support culture

 

What You'll Bring

  • Senior analysts require 5+ years applied analytics (or 3+ with an advanced degree) in healthcare, public policy, or adjacent fields.
  • Hands-on R programming for data wrangling, analysis, and reproducible workflows. 
  • Financial modeling in Excel (structured models drawing from novel data analyses and academic literature).   
  • Data visualization in the Microsoft Office suite (clear, executive-ready products). 
  • Strong client communication: Ability to independently scope research, manage deadlines, and communicate complex findings simply.  
  • Growth mindset for tools: willingness to learn and use SAS, Python, and JavaScript for innovation projects. 
  • Strong attention to detail, including the ability to work efficiently to produce accurate and high-quality deliverables.  
  • Ability to solve problems independently, pivot quickly based on client needs, and work with incomplete information.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas and findings effectively into relevant insights – visually, verbally, and in writing.  
  • High-level of initiative, quick learning ability, and resourcefulness.  
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment as a team player.  
  • High degree of professional maturity.

 

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with Medicare or Medicaid administrative data (e.g., Medicare or Medicaid research files like enrollment, claims/encounters, assessments).   
  • Familiarity with valuebased care models, managed care, state Medicaid policy, and postacute/LTSS. 
  • Reproducible analytics practices (git, documentation, code review); privacy and data governance (HIPAA/PHI handling). 
  • Exposure to SAS/Python/JavaScript; dashboarding (Tableau/JS/Shiny/Power BI); cloud data tooling
