Role Description

This role is a strategic and operational leadership opportunity for an experienced People professional to shape and execute the full spectrum of talent, culture, and HR operations. You will partner with executive leadership to translate business objectives into people priorities, driving operational excellence while planning for long-term organizational needs. The position oversees core HR functions including benefits, compliance, HRIS, payroll, performance management, and talent development, while fostering a culture of engagement and accountability. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments, balancing strategic foresight with hands-on execution. You will lead a high-performing People team, ensuring programs are effectively implemented and continuously optimized. This role offers the chance to build infrastructure, influence culture, and impact organizational performance at scale.

  • Lead and run day-to-day operations of the People team, ensuring consistent execution across all HR functions and priorities.
  • Translate business strategy into people initiatives including workforce planning, organizational design, capability building, and succession planning.
  • Oversee benefits administration, compliance, HRIS, payroll, multi-state operations, and leave management to ensure efficiency and regulatory alignment.
  • Design and implement people programs such as performance management, talent development, manager enablement, and engagement initiatives.
  • Leverage analytics to measure program effectiveness, inform decisions, and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing People team, establishing clear goals, priorities, and accountability across functions.
  • Ensure seamless execution of large-scale initiatives while maintaining operational excellence and fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive People leadership experience, including 3+ years leading People operations in high-growth or fast-paced environments.
  • Proven expertise in HR operations for organizations of 200–1,000 employees, including benefits, compliance, HRIS, ATS, and multi-state regulations.
  • Strong operational and program management skills, with a track record of executing consistent, high-quality outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business goals into effective people strategies and measurable programs.
  • Experience with HRIS platforms (e.g., UKG, Workday, BambooHR), ATS systems, and people analytics tools.
  • Solid understanding of employment law, compliance requirements, benefits regulations, and risk mitigation.
  • Strong data-driven decision-making, analytical skills, and experience presenting insights to leadership.
  • Exceptional leadership, collaboration, and culture-building skills, with the ability to develop and mentor teams.
  • Experience in digital health or healthcare-related organizations is a plus but not required.
