Role Description
The Aviation Training Analyst serves as the senior aviation subject matter expert responsible for leading analytical efforts that support Army aviation training resource planning and the Flying Hour Program at the Headquarters, Department of the Army (HQDA) level. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the Army’s aviation forces have the resources required to train pilots, maintain readiness, and sustain operational capability. This is a remote position.
- Lead analytical efforts supporting aviation training resource requirements across the Army.
- Serve as the primary aviation subject matter expert within the analytical team.
- Provide expertise on the Army Flying Hour Program and aviation training requirements for pilots, crews, and aviation units.
- Analyze aviation force structure, operational tempo, and training requirements to support Army readiness objectives.
- Ensure aviation data inputs are accurate and properly reflected in Army Training Model applications and analytical tools.
- Support HQDA decision-makers by translating aviation operational needs into defensible resource requirements.
- Collaborate with analysts, developers, and program leadership to ensure aviation data and assumptions are accurately represented in training resource models.
- Assist in the development of analytical products, briefings, and supporting documentation for senior Army leadership.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience supporting Active Component Army aviation training programs.
- Thorough knowledge of the Army Aviation Restructuring Initiative (ARI) and aviation force structure.
- Demonstrated expertise in individual and collective aviation training requirements for pilots, crews, and aviation units.
- Experience supporting or working within the HQDA-level Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process.
- Strong analytical capability with experience evaluating aviation resource requirements and training programs.
- Familiarity with Army training resource modeling tools and related analytical systems.
- An active Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
