Taxes for Expats (TFX) is hiring experienced tax professionals to support our growing global client base of Americans living abroad. This is a fully remote, flexible role where you can work part-time or full-time, depending on your availability.
- Prepare and file accurate expatriate tax returns for U.S. citizens living abroad
- Provide expert advice on international tax laws, compliance requirements, and tax-saving strategies
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of IRS regulations and expatriate tax issues
- Collaborate with clients to gather necessary documentation and information
- Address client inquiries and provide exceptional customer service throughout the tax preparation process
- Ensure all tax filings meet deadlines and compliance standards
Qualifications
- Active U.S. CPA, EA, or JD
- Either: 2+ years of U.S. expatriate tax preparation experience, or 5+ years of general U.S. tax preparation experience with willingness to learn expat tax
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Requirements
- This role uses a commission-based compensation model tied to completed tax returns.
- During the busy season (February – June, September – November), preparers typically earn $2K–$8K+ per month, depending on workload, return complexity, and overall productivity.
