Below are the position requirements.
Job purpose
As a Full-Stack Software Developer you will be responsible for building a multi-tenant practice management platform used by several accounting firms under a single corporate umbrella. The application manages client engagements, tracks deliverables, measures employee utilization, handles task management, and will expand into time tracking and additional operational features.
We need a developer who takes full ownership — from database schema to deployed feature — and treats quality as their personal responsibility.
Duties and responsibilities
As a BELAY Corporate Team member, you will professionally represent the company in all virtual and in-person interactions. You are expected to exemplify our mission, vision and core values daily, fostering a collaborative and positive team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and ship features end-to-end across a Laravel API backend and React TypeScript frontend backed by PostgreSQL
- Own quality: write testable code, perform your own QA, and catch issues before users do
- Collaborate closely with a small, senior team to plan architecture and make pragmatic technical decisions
- Respond quickly to production issues and bugs — downtime directly impacts our firms' ability to serve clients
- Participate in data modeling for complex accounting workflows including engagement tracking, utilization metrics, and multi-firm tenancy
- Write and maintain API documentation; keep the codebase clean and well-organized for current and future team members
- Deploy and maintain infrastructure on DigitalOcean using Docker and CI/CD pipelines
Qualifications
This role requires a motivated and trustworthy self-starter with strong communication and technological skills who thrives both independently and on a team. Our ideal corporate team member is flexible, creative, well-organized and ready to roll up their sleeves to get the job done!
Required Skills
- Strong experience with Laravel (routing, Eloquent, queues, middleware, testing)
- React with TypeScript (hooks, state management, component architecture)
- PostgreSQL (schema design, migrations, query optimization)
- RESTful API design and authentication (Sanctum or Passport)
- Docker and containerized development workflows
- Git and collaborative workflows (branching, code review, CI/CD)
- Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
Preferred but not Required
- Experience building multi-tenant SaaS applications
- Familiarity with DigitalOcean App Platform or similar PaaS
- Experience with Spatie packages, Laravel queues/jobs, and event-driven architecture
Working conditions
BELAY Corporate offers full-time remote work, requiring a dedicated, distraction-free home office for standard Monday-Friday business hours, with occasional travel for some roles. As a full-time/part-time, exempt/non-exempt W-2 employee, you'll join a vibrant, award-winning company culture where you're a valued, engaged team player in a thriving organization.
Physical requirements
This position does not have any physical requirements at this time.
Salary Range
$90,000 - $120,000
