• Leads and manages multiple complex projects and teams across the continuum of care in all facets of healthcare operations • Creates project plans and facilitates project teams to complete process improvement projects • Utilizes Lean Six Sigma methodology to improve processes throughout the organization • Gathers data through time/motion studies, check sheets, electronic data pulls, online surveys and/or benchmarking other hospitals and organizations • Enters and analyzes data in various ways to determine trends and identify root causes • Converts data into usable format and dashboards for administration and management to make informed decisions and track process changes and performance • Develops creative solutions to problems associated with processes throughout the hospital; presents these solutions to appropriate staff, management, and administration • Works with organization leadership, specifically senior leadership and executive administration, to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and improve job and/or customer satisfaction • Schedules meetings, compiles meeting minutes, tracks follow up actions, prepares project management documentation, develops reports and dashboards for milestones and report outs to customers • Develops communication, education, and training plans/materials on projects and process improvement tools/methodologies to be used for training and change management • Trains all levels of the organization in the effective application of process improvement tools and methodologies; facilitates project communication and change management; trains and mentors internal department employees • Leads functional areas and departments in review of all current and proposed projects for prioritization discussions with leadership
