Role Description

The Field Engineering Business Operations Lead will serve as a strategic partner to technical field teams, including Solution Architects, Customer Solutions Architects, and Professional Services. This role is critical for ensuring operational excellence, improving productivity, and delivering actionable insights through comprehensive reporting and metrics. You will manage tools like Salesforce to track team performance, support fiscal planning, and lead initiatives that enhance efficiency and alignment with business goals. The position requires close collaboration with leadership at all levels and cross-functional teams to implement programs, optimize technical processes, and drive customer impact. Your work will directly influence team effectiveness, pipeline conversion, and the overall success of the technical organization.

  • Partner with technical field teams to support daily operations and strategic initiatives.
  • Define, design, and deliver key metrics and operational reports to technical leadership.
  • Manage Salesforce and other systems to track engagement, KPIs, and productivity.
  • Analyze pipeline stage conversions, identify gaps, and implement initiatives to improve outcomes.
  • Design and lead programs that enhance efficiency and productivity across the technical organization.
  • Oversee fiscal year planning, including headcount, capacity, quotas, and operational cadence processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align operational goals with business strategy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in operations management, field engineering, or similar roles in technical organizations.
  • Experience working in a fully remote or distributed team environment.
  • Strong proficiency with productivity tools, including Salesforce, and analytics/reporting platforms.
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective communicator capable of influencing leadership and collaborating cross-functionally.
  • Ability to define, implement, and refine operational processes to support technical teams.
