Job Description
Role Description
Reddit is seeking a high-caliber Senior Product Designer to join our Growth Design team. In this role, you won't just be moving pixels; you’ll be defining the mechanics of how hundreds of millions of users discover and engage with the front page of the internet. Senior Designers at Reddit are force multipliers. You will navigate ambiguity with ease, turn high-level business goals into actionable design scopes, and lead cross-functional squads with a blend of strategic thinking and elite technical craft.
The Growth team at Reddit is a high-impact, fast-moving environment. We focus on top-of-funnel acquisition via web, conversion to app, and app retention. You will thrive here if you love the thrill of high-velocity optionality and the challenge of distilling complex user behaviors into seamless engagement loops on both web and native platforms.
What you'll do:
- Lead Through Ambiguity by taking vague problems and transforming them into clear project scopes and design strategies.
- Deploy coding tools like Cursor or similar environments to build high-fidelity, functional prototypes that feel real and use real data.
- Act as a strategic partner to cross-functional partners and leaders within Product and Engineering, acting as a co-architect of the product roadmap, not a service provider.
- Confidently present multiple design directions (providing high optionality) to senior leadership, defending your decisions with a mix of data-driven insights and design intuition.
- Maintain a high bar for visual and interaction design, serving as a benchmark for the broader design org.
- Propose new components for the design systems team that scale for Growth and the rest of Reddit.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of product design experience, ideally within growth or high-scale consumer tech.
- Proficiency in prototyping via code (Cursor, etc.).
- A strong portfolio demonstrating a mastery of craft.
- Comfortable with rapid iteration, A/B testing, and pivoting based on performance data.
- Exceptional storyteller with strong writing and presentation skills.
- Ability to navigate complexity and find clarity in ambiguous situations.
Benefits
- Comprehensive Healthcare Benefits and Income Replacement Programs
- 401k with Employer Match
- Global Benefit programs that fit your lifestyle, from workspace to professional development to caregiving support
- Family Planning Support
- Gender-Affirming Care
- Mental Health & Coaching Benefits
- Flexible Vacation & Paid Volunteer Time Off
- Generous Paid Parental Leave

LoancrateWe started Loancrate to make home-buying simpler and less expensive for lenders and borrowers. Today, mortgage lenders are stuck running their companies on software products built 20 years ago. These products are slow, unstable, and don't lead to material improvements in efficiency. When using these systems, the average human cost to originate a loan is still over $11,000. Loancrate builds AI-native tooling to automate mortgage workflows. Our ultimate goal is fully automated origination, which has the potential to save lenders over $16B in operating expense per year. Since starting in 2020, our remote team has enabled our customers to power >$85 billion in new home loans. We are a group of people excited to tackle the complexity of the home-lending industry. We care about collaboration, very open communication covering the good & the bad so that we learn from our decisions quickly, and ultimately having fun while we're building. You'll fit in well if you like diving deep quickly!
Senior Product Designer creating intuitive experiences for AI-native mortgage tools.
