Job Description
Kindred Bravely is seeking a Merchant to own and drive performance for assigned product categories. This role is responsible for delivering key financial metrics through strong merchandising strategy, assortment planning, business analysis, and cross-functional collaboration.

The Opportunity:
The Merchant will play a critical role in shaping product assortments, identifying opportunities for growth, and ensuring the successful execution of product launches across all channels.
The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with strategic thinking and has experience managing a category or class in a fast-paced retail or e-commerce environment.
What We’re Looking For
- High level of initiative and accountability, with the ability to independently drive projects forward
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with sound business judgment
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively across teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including comfort presenting insights and recommendations to leadership
- Deep understanding of retail math, financial planning, and merchandising performance metric
- Knowledge of market trends, competitive landscape, and customer behavior
Experience
- 4+ years of retail merchandising or buying experience, preferably in apparel or consumer products
- Experience in womens apparel or Intimates categories.
- Experience partnering closely with design and product development teams in a vertical retail environment
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables
- Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Slides, Sheets)
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) and e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Amazon Seller Central) preferred
Responsibilities Include (but Are Not Limited To)
- Own category performance, monitoring sales, margin, and inventory productivity to drive financial results
- Analyze weekly and monthly business performance to identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities
- Deliver regular sales analysis and performance recaps to cross-functional teams and leadership
- Develop and maintain line plans and product assortments aligned with brand strategy and financial targets
- Identify assortment gaps and present new product opportunities or merchandising strategies
- Partner with Design, Planning, Marketing, and Operations to ensure successful product development and launch execution
- Prepare insights, reporting, and presentations for key business meetings and leadership reviews
- Lead or support ad hoc analysis and strategic projects that drive category and brand growth
- Track milestones across the product lifecycle and product pipeline, ensuring timely delivery across channels
