Role Description
We are looking for a Traveling Field Superintendent to support construction projects across multiple locations. This role is fully remote but requires travel to project sites as needed to oversee field operations and ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and according to design specifications.
The Superintendent will serve as the primary field leader during site visits, coordinating subcontractors, monitoring job progress, and maintaining quality standards. This role is well suited for a construction professional who can manage multiple projects while maintaining clear communication with project management and leadership teams.
- Supervise on-site construction activities to ensure projects are executed according to plans and specifications
- Coordinate subcontractors, trades, and vendors to maintain efficient project workflow
- Travel to project sites as needed to oversee field operations and address construction challenges
- Review construction drawings, scopes of work, and schedules to guide field execution
- Monitor project progress and identify potential delays or risks early
- Maintain job-site safety standards and ensure compliance with OSHA guidelines
- Communicate project updates, field conditions, and progress reports to project managers and leadership
- Assist with coordinating inspections, material deliveries, and subcontractor schedules
- Address field issues and provide practical solutions to keep projects moving forward
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in construction field supervision or superintendent roles
- Strong knowledge of construction practices, scheduling, and site coordination
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Experience managing subcontractors and multiple trades on active job sites
- Willingness and ability to travel to project locations as required
- Strong communication skills with both field personnel and office teams
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency with construction documentation and reporting processes
