Role Description

This is a high-impact leadership role overseeing the strategy and execution of a modern payroll platform designed to deliver exceptional value to both employers and employees. The Product Management Director will:

  • Define the product vision, drive roadmap priorities, and ensure the payroll software is intuitive, compliant, and scalable.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Design, Compliance, Risk, Sales, and Customer Success to deliver products that enhance operational efficiency, employee financial wellness, and market competitiveness.
  • Balance strategic thinking with hands-on product execution and requires a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing team while shaping a growing business line in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
  • Regular travel to headquarters is expected, while the role remains remote-first.

Accountabilities:

  • Define and communicate the vision and strategy for payroll software, aligning product direction with company goals and market opportunities.
  • Build, maintain, and prioritize a data-informed product roadmap, ensuring business impact and customer value.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Design, Compliance, Risk, Sales, and Support from ideation through launch and iteration.
  • Conduct research, market analysis, and user feedback to inform product decisions and identify opportunities for innovation.
  • Oversee product delivery, ensuring usability, compliance, operational efficiency, and performance metrics are met.
  • Mentor and develop high-performing product team members, fostering a culture of ownership, experimentation, and continuous learning.
  • Partner with leadership to align on go-to-market strategies and support business objectives.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of product management experience, with a proven track record of delivering customer-centric solutions.
  • 3+ years of experience managing product for payroll software or within the payroll industry.
  • 3+ years of experience leading and mentoring high-performing teams.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities to influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of payroll workflows, compliance, and financial wellness considerations.
  • Passion for solving real customer problems and improving employee financial experiences.
