Role Description

This is a production-focused role within a community newspaper organization. Success in this position requires exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage complex multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

• Execute paper planning for multiple publications within the NorCal group
• Manage the pagination of multiple daily classified sections and obituaries
• Coordinate and fulfill requests from the editorial, advertising, and pressroom departments
• Ensure layout accuracy to support consistent product quality across all platforms
• Prioritize and organize tasks based on constantly evolving needs

Qualifications

• Self-directed work ethic with a proven ability to meet strict daily deadlines
• Strong computer and communication skills
• High school diploma and some college or computer courses preferred
• Previous experience in newspaper or print media production is highly advantageous
• This job is remote and requires reliable internet access

Requirements

• A full pre-employment drug screen will be conducted as part of the selection process
• Must be willing to submit and pass the necessary required checks
• Must be available for shift work
• May be required to work various hours for coverage outside of normal business hours

Benefits

• The hourly wage is $16.90
• Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to geographic location, education, work experience, time in role, certifications, etc.
