Land Records Indexing Agent - Remote
Surface and Mineral Title
Position Summary
Liberty Core is seeking Land Records Indexing Agents to support a title research project involving courthouse land records.
Indexing Agents will review digitized images of recorded land documents and extract key information into a structured database to support Section–Township–Range (STR) mineral and surface title research. This work involves identifying critical information within deeds, leases, assignments, affidavits, and other recorded instruments.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, accurate, and comfortable reviewing legal documents and structured information.
Key Responsibilities

Review digitized images of historical courthouse land records.

Extract and enter key indexing information into the project database.

Identify and index Grantor and Grantee names from recorded documents.

Capture important document details including:

Instrument type
-
Recording date
-
Instrument number or book/page reference
-
Section, Township, and Range legal descriptions
-

Verify that indexed information matches the corresponding document images.

Follow established indexing standards and project procedures.

Flag illegible, incomplete, or unclear documents for review.

Maintain daily productivity and quality expectations.
Production Expectation

Maintain a high accuracy rate (98–99%) when entering data.

Consistently follow project indexing standards and quality guidelines.
Required Qualifications

Strong attention to detail and data accuracy

Experience with data entry, document indexing, or records management
-
Ability to review and interpret legal or structured documents
-
Basic computer and database entry skills

Ability to perform repetitive work while maintaining accuracy

Reliable attendance and ability to meet project deadlines
Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with land records or courthouse documents
-
Familiarity with the Public Land Survey System (PLSS) or Section–Township–Range (STR) legal descriptions

Experience in oil & gas, mineral title, or land research
-
Background in title companies, abstracting, paralegal work, project production, and/or records management
Work Environment
