Job Description
Role Description
SonderMind is seeking a Partnership Development Manager, Health Systems to own the entire lifecycle of health system partnership development. This role is responsible for identifying, engaging, qualifying, and activating new health system referral partnerships, from initial outreach through referral readiness and early referral flow.
This role is centered on building strong, trust-based relationships with health systems that lead to meaningful, sustained referral volume. Success requires thoughtful prospecting, strong discovery with healthcare leaders, and the ability to guide partnerships from first conversation through launch with a high level of ownership and follow through.
Outreach in this role is intentional and consultative, prioritizing relevance, credibility, and long-term value. The role combines partnership development execution with strategic market analysis while working closely with senior sales leaders to ensure partnerships are positioned for long-term success.
What you’ll do
- Own the full referral partnership development process with medium to large health systems, from prospecting through referral readiness and initial referral activation
- Build and execute thoughtful, research-driven outreach plans tailored to reach health system and market
- Lead discovery conversations focused on understanding referral workflows, care gaps, decision criteria, and operational readiness
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clinical, operational, and administrative stakeholders through activation
- Maintain accurate CRM records and partner status updates
- Collaborate closely with Account Managers and cross-functional partners
Market Strategy & Analysis
- Research and prioritize health system targets using Definitive Healthcare and similar tools
- Analyze referral potential and market dynamics to guide targeting and messaging
- Share insights with sales leadership to inform partnership strategy
- Track outreach and referral performance and recommend adjustments as needed
- Support business development initiatives led by senior sales leaders
What does success look like?
- Health system partnerships are established that support consistent, sustained referral volume over time.
- Trust-based relationships are built with clinical, operations, and administrative stakeholders
- Outreach is targeted and results in meetings with well-qualified health system stakeholders
- Market and referral data are used to prioritize outreach and identify high-value partnership opportunities.
- Discovery conversations demonstrate strong preparation, relevance, and clear next steps
- Positive feedback from sales leadership on preparedness, insights, and collaboration
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in partnership development or business development, ideally within health or health tech
- Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to establish trust across various audiences
- Comfortable engaging health system stakeholders through thoughtful outreach and discovery rather than high volume sales motions
- Strong analytical and market research skills
- Understanding of the nuances of healthcare data, industry insights, and partner intelligence strongly preferred
- Strong executive communication skills, to communicate findings and insights clearly to senior leaders
- Comfortable working independently and owning day-to-day progress
Benefits
- The anticipated base salary for this role ranges from $80,000 to $90,000, with total cash compensation between $122,000 and $126,000.
- This role is eligible for participation in an uncapped commission plan and equity.
- A generous PTO policy, with a minimum of three weeks off per year
- A holiday schedule that follows standard U.S. holidays
- Free therapy coverage benefits to ensure employees have access to the care they need (must be enrolled in a qualifying medical plan to participate)
- Competitive Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage, with plans to meet every need — including HSA (with $1,100 company contribution) and FSA options
- Employer-paid short-term disability, long-term disability, life & AD&D, plus coverage of the salary difference for up to seven weeks of short-term disability leave (after the required waiting period)
- Eight weeks of paid Parental Leave; if the parent also qualifies for STD, this benefit is in addition, allowing for 8–16 weeks of paid leave
- 401(k) retirement plan with 100% match on up to 4% of base salary, immediately vested
- Join teammates from across the country at our annual company gathering
- Company shutdown between Christmas and New Year’s
- Supplemental life insurance, pet insurance, commuter benefits, and more
Application Deadline
This position will be an ongoing recruitment process and will be open until filled.
