Job Description
Location: Remote (CO, MD, PA, VA, NC, MO, MS)
Travel: Occasional travel may be required (estimated less than 10%) depending on project needs
- Required: U.S. Citizenship (open to candidates with or without an active clearance)
- Preferred: TS/SCI with Polygraph
- Support design, development, and integration of complex engineering or software systems.
- Apply engineering or scientific expertise to solve technical challenges and support mission objectives.
- Develop and maintain system components, services, and technical capabilities.
- Support system integration, testing, and performance optimization.
- Participate in Agile development activities and technical planning efforts.
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and team members.
- Collaborate with engineering teams, analysts, and program stakeholders to support system development and mission needs.
- Contribute to development of technical documentation and system artifacts.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
- 8–12 years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience applying advanced engineering or scientific principles to complex systems or software environments.
- Experience supporting engineering development or technical integration efforts.
- Backend development: Node.js, C++, Golang
- React and TypeScript / JavaScript
- RESTful APIs or GraphQL
- CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI
- Container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Databases: SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) or NoSQL (MongoDB)
- Scripting languages such as Python or Bash
- Linux operating systems
- Microservice architecture
- Designing and deploying cloud-native applications
- Event-driven architecture
- Secure software development practices
- Agile software development using the Scrum framework
- User interface design and implementation
- Observability tools such as Grafana or Jaeger
- Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD)
- Certified ScrumMaster (Scrum Alliance)
- DoD Directive 8570 / 8140 compliant certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+) for Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II roles
