Role Description

This role involves supporting a leading AI research lab working on next-generation machine learning systems by applying real-world procurement and purchasing expertise.

• Create structured deliverables based on common requests within the purchasing and procurement domain
• Contribute professional expertise to help diagnose and solve real-world sourcing and purchasing challenges
• Review peer-developed deliverables to improve research quality and domain accuracy
• Provide detailed written explanations reflecting real procurement workflows and supplier management processes
• Ensure tasks reflect authentic purchasing decisions and supply chain management scenarios

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional experience in procurement, purchasing, sourcing, or supply chain roles
• Strong understanding of supplier management, procurement processes, and purchasing operations
• Excellent written communication skills with strong grammar and clarity
• Ability to translate real-world purchasing workflows into structured tasks and scenarios
• Strong attention to detail and ability to articulate operational reasoning

Requirements

• Background in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations, Logistics, or related fields preferred

Nice to Have

• Experience managing vendor relationships, procurement negotiations, or sourcing strategies
• Experience working with purchasing systems, procurement platforms, or ERP tools
• Experience explaining procurement processes and sourcing strategies clearly
