Role Description
This role offers the opportunity to design, build, and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available cloud solutions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The Sr. Cloud Engineer will work closely with architecture, security, and engineering teams to implement best-in-class Azure cloud practices, drive automation, and ensure operational excellence across multiple SaaS environments.
- Design, deploy, and manage Azure cloud-based solutions that are secure, scalable, and highly available
- Govern and maintain SaaS environments while ensuring compliance with cloud security policies and procedures
- Collaborate with architecture and security teams to implement best practices and enforce governance standards
- Automate cloud infrastructure deployments and operational processes using scripting, IaC tools (Bicep, ARM, Terraform), and configuration management
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve cloud-related issues promptly to maintain system performance and reliability
- Optimize Azure resources to balance cost efficiency with performance and reliability
- Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation and provide occasional after-hours support to ensure service continuity
Qualifications
- 7–10 years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or Agile software development environments
- Strong experience with Azure cloud-native services (function apps, container apps, web apps, storage accounts) and Azure networking (VWAN, Front Door, etc.)
- Expertise in CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, including Bicep, ARM templates, or Terraform
- Proficiency in at least two programming languages such as C#, Java/Scala, JavaScript/Node.js, TypeScript, or Python
- Preferred experience designing highly available cloud systems and infrastructure configurations
- Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to integrate solutions across engineering teams
- Willingness to participate in rotational on-call support
