Role Description

Our client is seeking an experienced AVP, Property Claims to oversee property claims operations throughout the New England region. This role is responsible for overseeing property claims staff (field and inside adjusters), training and development, quality assurance, and serving as a key point of contact for internal teams and external partners. The ideal candidate combines strong leadership with hands-on field experience and a commitment to service, efficiency, and quality control.

  • Manage and support property claims operations across an assigned territory, overseeing residential and commercial property claims activities.
  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate field personnel to ensure performance standards and service expectations are consistently met.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to assess property loss conditions, workflow efficiency, and compliance with company guidelines.
  • Review reports, estimates, and documentation for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
  • Serve as a liaison between field teams, vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure clear and effective communication.
  • Address escalated issues, operational challenges, and customer concerns with professionalism and decisiveness.
  • Implement best practices to improve efficiency, quality control, and cost management.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, loss mitigation, and operational savings.
  • Ensure all field operations comply with company policies, regulatory requirements, and safety standards.
  • Provide regular status updates, performance reports, and insights to leadership.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of Property claims experience.
  • 5+ years of claims leadership experience.
  • Must reside in Massachusetts.
  • Strong understanding of homeowner property claims operations.
  • Experience working directly with vendors, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, field-driven environment.
  • Commercial property experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.

  • $160,000 - $225,000 annual salary plus lucrative management bonus up to 20%
