Role Description
This role is a senior leadership position overseeing the full lifecycle of multifamily solar and storage construction projects from ground-up development to commissioning. The Staff Project Manager will guide high-visibility projects while shaping operational processes, ensuring safety, quality, and financial performance.
- Lead and manage multiple ground-up multifamily solar and storage projects, ensuring schedule, budget, quality, and safety targets are met.
- Identify, mitigate, and escalate risks while capturing lessons learned for continuous improvement.
- Oversee subcontractor performance, including procurement, billing, invoicing, and scope management.
- Provide clear and consistent reporting on project status to leadership, governance, and clients.
- Develop, document, and enhance project management processes, best practices, and communication standards.
- Track KPIs, performance metrics, and operational initiatives to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Support corporate process policies to maintain operational, audit, and financial compliance.
Qualifications
- 5–7+ years of construction project management experience in ground-up commercial solar and storage projects.
- Proven full lifecycle expertise, including subcontractor procurement, contract administration, RFI/submittal management, change orders, billing, and closeout.
- Strong knowledge of Title 24 (PV & BESS), VNEM, and utility interconnection requirements (e.g., Rule 21/IX).
- Experience managing multiple complex projects using CPM scheduling, forecasting, and performance metrics.
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate and improve operational workflows; build scalable processes and standardized playbooks.
- Commitment to OSHA compliance and jobsite safety leadership.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across field, executive, and client audiences.
- Advanced proficiency in Google Workspace and project/CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Oracle).
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Engineering, Business, or related field; PMP preferred.
