The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company's regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule YEAR-ROUND.
Your Responsibilities
As a PTS Engine Performance Analyst for John Deere Power Systems, located in Waterloo, IA, you will assist with Model-Based Product Development. In addition, you will:• Assist in developing engine model capabilities, methodologies, processes and tools• Provide support to engine development programs, conducting performance analysis simulations and optimization tasks• Assist in developing model test protocols, calibration procedures and analysis methodologies• Assist in supporting model architecture and workflow processes deployed throughout engine engineering

What Skills You Need• Completed coursework in thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, dynamics, heat transfer, experimentation and measurement• Completed 50% of required credit hours toward engineering degree• Use of standard engineering software, including Matlab• Good communication and team skills• Pursuing a bachelor's degree, ideally in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or any additional technical and relevant degrees may apply• Ability to work 15-20 hours during the academic year• Ability to work 30-40 hours during the summer semester• Must be registered as a full-time student at a U.S. local accredited college/university• Graduation date of May 2027 or later• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above• Must be able to commute to the work location in Waterloo, Iowa or Remote
