Role Description

This role focuses on selling advanced AI technologies into industrial manufacturing, metals distribution, and heavy industry supply chains.

  • Own the full sales cycle from outbound prospecting to closing deals
  • Generate pipeline through cold calls, email outreach, trade shows, and industry networking
  • Sell consultatively into operations teams, procurement departments, and executive leadership
  • Navigate RFQ-driven purchasing workflows and quoting processes
  • Build long-term relationships with:
    • Operations Managers
    • Plant Managers
    • Procurement & Purchasing Teams
    • Executive Leadership
  • Consistently meet or exceed sales quota targets
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and pipeline forecasts
  • Provide feedback to product and AI teams on industry requirements and market needs

Qualifications

  • 2–7 years of B2B sales experience
  • Experience selling into or working within industries such as:
    • Metals distribution
    • Steel service centres
    • Industrial manufacturing
    • Building materials
    • Heavy industry supply chains
  • Experience with consultative or technical sales cycles
  • Comfort with outbound prospecting and building new business pipelines
  • Familiarity with RFQ-driven procurement processes
  • Proven history of quota attainment

Requirements

  • Candidates based in the following regions may be especially strong fits:
    • Midwest: Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit, Pittsburgh, Indianapolis
    • Southeast: Houston, Birmingham, Tampa, Charlotte
    • Northeast: Philadelphia, New Jersey corridor
  • Remote candidates are also welcome if they have strong industry networks in these markets.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Existing relationships with steel service centres or metals distributors
  • Experience working with companies such as:
    • Fastenal
    • Grainger
    • MSC Industrial
    • Nucor
    • Regional metals distributors
  • Experience selling SaaS or technology solutions into industrial sectors
  • Familiarity with ERP platforms such as Metals Manager, Enmark, or SAP
  • Spanish fluency (plus)
