Job Requirements
- 4–6 years’ experience in political communications, campaigns, organizing, or journalism.
- Strong writer who can adapt tone for local audiences while advancing a clear strategic narrative.
- Deep understanding of how regional and local media ecosystems operate.
- Ability to build trust quickly with grassroots leaders and reporters alike.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple districts, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced political environment with frequent rapid response demands.
- Commitment to advancing progressive values and holding elected officials accountable.
- Experience working in or covering battleground states or competitive House districts is desired.
- Existing relationships with regional political reporters or editorial boards are desired.
- Experience training spokespeople or activists for media is desired.
- Familiarity with tracking tools, media databases, and press analytics is desired.
- Bilingual or multilingual skills relevant to priority districts are a plus.
