Job Description
Role Description
This role involves working with IQVIA Information Partner Services Data Science team to help address business issues and opportunities from retail pharmacies using established methodologies and machine learning and statistical analysis tools under the supervision of other Data Scientists.
- Use advanced Data Exploration and Machine Learning knowledge to identify and deliver business insights in partnership with Engagement Managers and other Data Scientists
- Support the execution of data science projects and promote data-centric decision making
- Develop machine learning and statistical models following best practices for re-usability, stability, automation and documentation including models’ assumptions
- Provide expertise in statistical/ML methodologies
- Support project execution following detailed guidelines under detailed to moderate supervision
Qualifications
- Must be currently pursuing a masters degree in Data Science, Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or another related field with a strong focus on quantitative analysis, including an acceptable number of courses in programming languages and theory
- Background in delivering insights using statistical, data mining and machine learning concepts and algorithms in developing frameworks like Python or R
- Excellent presentation & communication, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrate analytical skills and experience with advanced analytics / data science projects
- Intermediate knowledge of Excel and exposure to visualization software such as Tableau, PowerBI, SAS or R/Python visualization packages
