Role Description
This position plays a crucial part in leading enterprise-wide Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) programs that are vital to improving clinical and laboratory operations. This position provides strategic guidance and execution across multiple projects, ensuring that technology initiatives are delivered successfully while adhering to compliance and business priorities.
- Own the success of enterprise LIMS programs and their impact on business strategy and regulatory compliance
- Lead cross-functional planning and execution across laboratory operations, IT, compliance, and vendors
- Establish program governance, manage risks and dependencies, and provide accurate executive-level reporting
- Lead full lifecycle LIMS initiatives including requirements, configuration, validation, integration, training, go-live, and stabilization
- Serve as primary program owner for Sapio Sciences LIMS while maintaining familiarity with other LIMS platforms
- Ensure all activities comply with CLIA, CAP, and 21 CFR Part 11 requirements
- Provide people leadership for Program and Project Managers including coaching, prioritization, and performance management
- Act as a key liaison between laboratory leadership, IT, compliance, and external partners
- Oversee program budgets, vendor performance, and resource planning
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Laboratory Science, Information Systems, or a related field required
- PMP or equivalent program management certification preferred
- 5+ years of progressive program and project management experience in laboratory, diagnostics, or regulated healthcare environments
- Strong working knowledge of LIMS platforms with Sapio Sciences experience strongly preferred
- Familiarity with multiple LIMS ecosystems and integration patterns
- Understanding of CLIA, CAP, and 21 CFR Part 11 requirements
- Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional programs
- Strong executive communication and presentation skills
- Strategic, results-oriented, comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment
