• Assist in the development and review of pricing models and assumptions to help determine adequate premium rates • Query, validate, and analyze data to support pricing recommendations and inform financial projections • Maintain and update recurring actuarial processes, including experience reporting for internal and external requirements, e.g. rate filings • Document work processes clearly and help ensure accuracy of results and performed analyses • Research industry trends, legislative/regulatory changes, and competitor actions to support business needs • Learn and apply actuarial concepts, methodologies, and exam knowledge to real-world business problems • Develop and analyze complex financial and statistical reports related to quality, cost and effectiveness of healthcare services • Prepare budget and forecast and analyze financial results related to expectations • Assess cash reserves and liabilities enable payment of future benefits
