Role Description

The Inside Sales Support Specialist assists with remote sales development calls and processes for a defined territory or portfolio of customers. This role partners closely with the sales team to understand customer needs and identify potential sales opportunities.

  • Initiates customer outreach to promote new and existing products and services
  • Offers special discounts and promotions
  • Provides essential account management support
  • Delivers accurate product information to support customer needs
  • Drives up sales and meets sales targets
  • Manages routine support tasks such as processing renewals and sales orders
  • Communicates in a positive, professional, and supportive manner
  • Projects a positive attitude with a strong sense of urgency
  • Includes basic sourcing of various packaging materials

Qualifications

  • High School Education or GED equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience dealing with customers in a similar environment

Requirements

  • Ability to accurately read and interpret documents such as quotes, orders, and product specifications
  • Strong math skills: add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with employees, customers, and supervisors
  • Self-starter with the ability to stay productive without constant supervision
  • Receptive to direction and able to build positive working relationships with supervisors and team members
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in computers and relevant software applications, primarily Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Basic knowledge of ERP systems preferred
  • Packaging industry knowledge preferred but not required
