Role Description
The Inside Sales Support Specialist assists with remote sales development calls and processes for a defined territory or portfolio of customers. This role partners closely with the sales team to understand customer needs and identify potential sales opportunities.
- Initiates customer outreach to promote new and existing products and services
- Offers special discounts and promotions
- Provides essential account management support
- Delivers accurate product information to support customer needs
- Drives up sales and meets sales targets
- Manages routine support tasks such as processing renewals and sales orders
- Communicates in a positive, professional, and supportive manner
- Projects a positive attitude with a strong sense of urgency
- Includes basic sourcing of various packaging materials
Qualifications
- High School Education or GED equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience dealing with customers in a similar environment
Requirements
- Ability to accurately read and interpret documents such as quotes, orders, and product specifications
- Strong math skills: add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with employees, customers, and supervisors
- Self-starter with the ability to stay productive without constant supervision
- Receptive to direction and able to build positive working relationships with supervisors and team members
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in computers and relevant software applications, primarily Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Basic knowledge of ERP systems preferred
- Packaging industry knowledge preferred but not required
