Role Description

PlanetArt is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Data Analyst – Supply Chain Analytics to support data-driven decision making across our global fulfillment network. This role will focus on analyzing operational, logistics, and vendor cost data to improve network efficiency, optimize shipping strategy, and enhance cost visibility across a complex ecosystem of 3PL partners, print-on-demand production facilities, and global carrier networks.

The ideal candidate combines strong SQL and data analytics capabilities with an understanding of supply chain cost drivers including freight, fulfillment, vendor pricing, and cost of goods sold (COGS) in a high-volume e-commerce environment.

This role will partner closely with Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to transform complex operational data into actionable insights that drive service improvements and cost optimization.

This is a remote, work-from-home position.

What You’ll Do

  • Analyze global fulfillment and logistics data to identify opportunities to optimize shipping strategy, reduce cost, and improve delivery performance across multiple brands and 3PL partners
  • Evaluate network shipping performance to identify opportunities for improved routing, service levels, and carrier utilization
  • Build and maintain reporting that provides visibility into freight spend, vendor costs, and fulfillment expenses impacting COGS and gross margin
  • Analyze landed cost components including production, labor, materials, packaging, and carrier charges to identify cost optimization opportunities
  • Design and automate exception-based reporting to highlight operational outliers, performance issues, and cost anomalies
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to improve data integrity, reporting automation, and system-driven analytics

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Engineering, Analytics, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience performing advanced data analysis in supply chain, logistics, operations, or finance environments
  • Advanced Excel proficiency including pivot tables, advanced formulas, and data modeling techniques
  • Advanced SQL experience working with relational databases (MySQL preferred)
  • Experience supporting business intelligence tools such as Tableau or similar analytics platforms
  • Experience working with large transaction-level datasets including freight, fulfillment, vendor, or cost accounting data
  • Strong problem-solving skills and high attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex operational data into actionable business insights
  • Ability to identify root causes of cost and performance issues within supply chain operations
  • Comfortable working with large datasets in fast-paced e-commerce environments
  • Effective communicator able to present analytical findings to operational and financial stakeholders
  • Curiosity and ownership mindset toward improving operational efficiency through data
