Role Description

This role serves as a strategic and operational partner to the Chief Development Officer, focusing on executive-level support, donor engagement, and the integration of organizational priorities across departments. The Director, Strategy and Integration ensures seamless coordination of top-level initiatives, manages complex projects, and drives alignment between leadership, staff, and external stakeholders. This position requires a proactive, highly organized professional capable of anticipating needs, managing multiple priorities, and translating strategy into actionable plans. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment, brings strong project management expertise, and has experience working with senior executives and high-value external partners. Success in this role is measured by operational efficiency, strategic execution, and the ability to strengthen relationships with key stakeholders.

  • Provide executive support and ensure the Chief Development Officer and other leaders are prepared for all meetings, presentations, and external engagements.
  • Lead high-priority projects and strategic initiatives, managing cross-departmental collaboration and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Oversee division-wide operations including budget management, departmental planning, human resources coordination, and professional development initiatives.
  • Mentor and guide direct reports, including administrative and operational leaders, to ensure high performance and operational excellence.
  • Develop and manage strategies for executive engagement with top donors, board members, and other high-value stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and execute donor meetings, briefings, follow-ups, and high-level correspondence to strengthen long-term relationships.
  • Serve as a liaison across departments to integrate strategic priorities, operational processes, and leadership initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 8–10 years of progressive experience in development, fundraising, nonprofit management, or related fields.
  • 3–5 years of management experience with direct reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to work closely with C-suite executives, board members, or high-level external stakeholders.
  • Proven project management skills with experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives.
  • Strong organizational, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills with a track record of anticipating needs and driving execution.
  • Experience managing budgets at departmental or divisional levels.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including high-level correspondence, presentations, and donor-facing materials.
  • Ability to work effectively in dynamic, fast-paced environments with changing priorities.
  • Preferred experience with nonprofit development, fundraising, or media/public broadcasting organizations.
