You will be joining an extremely forward-thinking Global Business Operations Engineering team, reporting to the VP of Engineering. Role Summary
The Director of Finance Software Engineering is a senior technology leader responsible for defining and executing the enterprise finance systems strategy. This role owns the design, delivery, and optimization of large-scale finance platforms—primarily ERP and adjacent digital finance solutions—while partnering closely with Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Tax, and Revenue Operations. The role leads global engineering teams, drives transformation programs, ensures regulatory compliance, and delivers measurable business outcomes through automation, analytics, and platform modernization.
Key Responsibilities
Finance Technology Strategy & Transformation
• Define and execute the Finance Technology and ERP roadmap, aligning system architecture to CFO priorities and enterprise strategy
• Serve as a primary technology partner to Finance leadership, translating business requirements into scalable, secure software solutions
• Lead and mentor global engineering teams across onshore and offshore delivery models
• Establish delivery standards, operating rhythms, and governance for large, multi-year transformation programs
Finance Platforms & Architecture
• Own end-to-end Finance systems architecture, including Record-to-Report, Treasury and Asset Accounting.
• Lead ERP upgrades, and optimizations, including greenfield and global template rollouts
• Oversee integration of ERP with e-commerce platforms, payment providers, banking systems, and third-party finance tools
• Drive adoption of modern reporting, consolidation, and analytics capabilities
Engineering Delivery & Transformation
• Deliver enterprise-scale digital finance programs with accountability for scope, timeline, quality, and outcomes
• Apply Agile and hybrid delivery models to complex finance transformations
• Lead automation and AI-driven solutions to improve efficiency, accuracy, and cost savings (e.g., cash application, reconciliations, credit risk)
• Manage data migration, testing strategies, UAT coordination, and production readiness
Compliance, Risk & Controls
• Ensure systems and processes support SOX compliance, internal controls, and audit readiness
• Enable compliance with GAAP, IFRS, ASC 606, IFRS 15, and global tax regulations
• Partner with Finance and Audit teams to embed controls into system design
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
• Own strategic relationships with ERP vendors and third-party providers, including contract negotiation and performance management
• Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, Security, Data, and Business Operations leaders
• Communicate effectively with executive stakeholders, providing clarity on risks, tradeoffs, and value realization
Required Qualifications
• 15+ years of experience in enterprise finance systems and software engineering leadership
• Deep expertise in ERP platforms like D365 or SAP S4 and digital finance transformation
• Proven track record leading large global teams and multimillion-dollar programs
• Strong understanding of core finance processes (R2R, O2C, P2P, Treasury, Reporting, Intercompany)
• Experience delivering automation, integrations, and data-driven finance solutions
• Demonstrated success partnering with Finance, Accounting, and executive leadership
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with AI/ML-enabled finance solutions and advanced automation
• Background in public company environments with strong regulatory requirements
• Experience scaling offshore or global delivery centers
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)

• Build and sustain a strong mentorship culture, developing senior leaders and succession pipelines.
• Foster a high-performance, inclusive, and accountable engineering culture across global teams.
• Coach leaders on execution rigor, stakeholder management, and strategic thinking.

The pay range for this position is $163,900 to $235,550. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and work location. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible to participate in a performance-based bonus plan and to receive restricted stock unit awards as part of total compensation.
