Role Description

This role involves supporting and enhancing our mission-critical database systems as a Senior Database Reliability Engineer.

• Manage, optimize, and ensure the stability of our Oracle and cloud-native ecosystems.
• Pivot our stack toward full automation, ensuring high availability, disaster recovery, and seamless scaling.
• Collaborate closely with Systems Engineers and Architects to design, implement, and scale database engines.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in database engineering with a primary focus on Oracle (19c or later).
• Strong skills in performance tuning (AWR, ASH, execution plans), security, and access control.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Requirements

• 3+ years managing mission-critical Oracle databases on AWS (RDS Custom or EC2).
• Proven proficiency in either Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or advanced scripting/development using Python.
• Advanced experience with Oracle GoldenGate for real-time data integration and migration.
• Experience applying an SDLC approach to infrastructure changes (CI/CD pipelines, GitLab/GitHub).
• Experience with monitoring and alerting tools like Foglight, DataDog, Splunk, and CloudWatch.
