The Opportunity

We are looking for a Product Manager in Oncology to take ownership of our oncology-related product initiatives and drive their evolution from concept to delivery.

This is a highly technical Product Management role at the intersection of clinical genomics, bioinformatics, and software development. The ideal candidate combines strong scientific expertise with hands-on product execution capabilities and the ability to work closely with development teams.

You will report to the Sr Principal Product Manager and play a key role in shaping and delivering oncology functionalities with high technical complexity.

Role Responsibilities

1.Technical product ownership

  • Own oncology-related product initiatives from discovery to release.
  • Translate complex biological and clinical concepts into clear, structured, and actionable product requirements.
  • Work closely with software developers to define functional specifications at the appropriate level of technical depth.
  • Collaborate with the Science team to translate research insights and scientific findings into product improvements and new functionalities.
  • Align scientific requirements with technical constraints to ensure feasible and effective product implementations.
  • Challenge, refine, and iterate on technical solutions in collaboration with development teams.
  • Ensure delivered features meet defined requirements before launch.
  • Ensure that delivered features are scientifically sound and aligned with user workflows.


2. Deep understanding of user workflows

  • Engage directly with end users (molecular pathologists, clinical scientists, bioinformaticians) to understand real-world oncology workflows.
  • Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and unmet needs in variant and biomarker interpretation processes.
  • Translate user needs into prioritized roadmap initiatives.


3. Cross-functional collaboration

  • Act as the bridge between scientific stakeholders and development teams.
  • Collaborate with Technology, Regulatory, and Commercial teams to ensure product-market fit and compliance alignment.
  • Contribute to roadmap prioritization based on customer value and strategic impact.


4. Product & scientific advocacy

  • Act as the internal subject matter expert for oncology-related functionalities.
  • Communicate complex genomic and clinical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Support product launches in collaboration with Marketing.
  • Provide scientific and technical training to Sales and other internal stakeholders.
  • Contribute to scientifically accurate external materials (presentations, webinars, case studies and user manual).
  • Ensure external communication and documentation accurately reflect product capabilities.


What you will bring:

Must-have:

  • Master’s or PhD in Life Sciences, Bioinformatics, or related field.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in NGS bioinformatics, including variant and biomarker calling and interpretation (ideally in oncology).
  • Strong understanding of NGS pipelines, variant classification frameworks, and clinical genomics workflows.
  • Experience working closely with software engineers on technical product features.
  • Ability to break down complex biological concepts into clear, structured explanations.
  • Fluency in English is a must. Good knowledge of other foreign languages (e.g., French,German) will be considered a plus


Strongly valued:

  • Experience in regulated environments (IVDR, CLIA, or similar).
  • Previous experience in a bioinformatics software company.
  • Exposure to agile product development environments.

  • Able to balance scientific accuracy with pragmatic product decisions.

  • Available for occasional international business travel
