Job Summary

The Regional Vice President (RVP), Business Development plays a critical role in driving the firm’s growth strategy by leading the recruitment of high-quality financial professionals. This role is responsible for generating and cultivating recruiting leads, managing relationships throughout the recruitment lifecycle, and partnering closely with internal stakeholders to deliver a seamless transition and onboarding experience. The ideal candidate is a relationship-driven business developer with deep industry knowledge, strong leadership capabilities, and a proven ability to influence and grow revenue through recruiting.

Key Deliverables and Responsibilities

  • Advanced knowledge of developing recruiting leads through proactive outgoing solicitations, and review potential match with the firm through professional screening of recruiting opportunities

  • Develop and evaluate transition packages for Business Development Leadership review

  • Participate as needed in firm’s conferences and effectively interface with financial professionals for the purpose of maintaining and enhancing relationships for future contacts

  • Mentor and train Regional Directors and Associate Directors in all aspects of the recruiting process

  • Host financial professionals for whom the individual is the primary recruiter to and from the airport and attend Home Office Visits to provide world class customer service to prospective financial professionals

  • Collaborate and build relationships with internal teams and departments, including but not limited to, serving on committees or taskforces

  • Partner with enterprises and branch builders to support their recruiting efforts

  • Maintain recruits’ activities in CRM including leads, notes, and documentation for all verbal and in-person meetings

  • Daily execution of the business development strategy, plan and process to drive sales, increase revenue, expand markets, and accomplish financial objectives

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate brings proven experience (10+ years) in business development, recruiting, or advisor acquisition within the financial services industry, with the ability to build credibility and strong relationships with experienced, high-producing financial professionals. They possess a consultative, strategic mindset and are skilled in evaluating advisor business models, assessing cultural and financial fit, and structuring competitive transition offers. This role requires experience mentoring or influencing recruiting professionals, strong proficiency with CRM systems and data-driven practices, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

Certifications:

  • Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Series 7 licenses is required within 12 months of hire.
