Job Description
The Marketplace Manager is responsible for driving the growth, optimization, and performance of our product catalog across all non-Shopify marketplaces, including Amazon, eBay, Walmart, Shopify Shops, Meta, Pinterest, and others. This role is focused on defining and executing strategies to grow marketplace sales, optimize product visibility, and ensure competitive pricing and promotions, all while working closely with the Merchandising Manager, Marketing, and Operations teams.
The Marketplace Manager will use data-driven insights to optimize listings, monitor competitive positioning, and ensure brand consistency across platforms. Success in this role means accelerating marketplace growth, optimizing product listings for conversions, and building a strong, competitive presence across key marketplace platforms that drives sustainable revenue growth.
Job Requirements
- 4–8+ years in website / merchandising management
- Technical Requirements/Knowledge
- Marketplace Management Expertise: Extensive experience managing product catalogs and optimizing listings on major marketplaces like Amazon, eBay, and Walmart. Knowledge of platform-specific requirements, algorithms, and best practices for creating high-converting listings.
- Product Onboarding & Pricing Strategy: Ability to identify, evaluate, and onboard new products for marketplace sales. Strong understanding of pricing strategies, margin analysis, and profitability assessment to ensure product competitiveness and profitability across marketplaces.
- Data Analytics & Performance Monitoring: Proficiency in using data analytics tools and marketplace performance dashboards to track sales, conversions, listing health, and market trends. Strong ability to analyze data and make informed decisions based on performance metrics.
- Competitive Analysis & Market Trends: Knowledge of industry trends and competitor pricing/strategies. Ability to monitor competitor activity across platforms and adjust pricing, promotions, and product offerings accordingly.
- Promotions & Campaign Management: Experience in creating, managing, and optimizing promotional campaigns across marketplaces. Understanding of how to structure discounts, deals, and offers to maximize revenue while protecting margins.
- SEO & Listing Optimization: Strong knowledge of SEO best practices specific to marketplaces. Ability to optimize product titles, descriptions, images, and keywords to improve visibility and search ranking on platforms like Amazon and eBay.
- Process Optimization: Ability to streamline marketplace operations, from product onboarding and listing creation to pricing updates and promotions. Experience in implementing automated tools and processes to increase efficiency.

- Communication & Reporting: Clear communicator with the ability to present marketplace performance, growth strategies, and market insights to leadership and stakeholders.
