Role Description
L3Harris is seeking a motivated individual looking for an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Special Construction Project Manager to support innovative solutions. The selected candidate will be working on multiple programs and initiatives for L3Harris as the primary contractor.
- Support the management and implementation of telecommunication and network solutions
- Collaborate with internal and external teams
- Work independently on projects from start to finish
- Manage telecommunications special construction projects based on customer requests and user requirements
- Negotiate commercial vendor products
- Develop procedures for implementing new network designs
- Manage small to large network projects
- Build and maintain relationships with carrier POC’s responsible for implementing construction projects
- Maintain all electronic data and critical project documentation and as-builts
- Create and provide metrics/performance data for program management reviews
- Schedule project kickoff meetings with all parties responsible for implementation
- Provide daily support to the implementation team and ensure effective communication among all stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience
- Active Public Trust Clearance
Requirements
- Proven working experience in civil construction management
- Advanced knowledge of civil construction management processes, means, and methods
- Expert knowledge of civil telecommunications specific products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards
- Understanding of Telecommunications Carrier LEC/CLEC & IXC connectivity and infrastructure
- Knowledge of telecommunications carrier ordering systems and processes
- Knowledge of Transport/Access equipment installation, test & turnup including new installs, additions, removals, provisioning, and turnup of systems
- Knowledge of Telecommunications support systems (e.g., Access Cabling infrastructure, DC Power plants/Battery systems, etc.) including installation, test & turnup, additions, replacements, and removals
- Knowledge of civil engineering projects including public right of way permitting
