Role Description

Machina Labs is seeking a Vice President of Marketing to lead and scale our marketing organization during a defining stage of growth. As VP of Marketing, you will build upon an existing foundation and team, evolving the function into a scalable, high-performance organization aligned with our post Series C ambitions.

This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role requiring both vision and execution. You will:

  • Establish and scale Machina Labs’ presence within the Defense sector, building credibility with Defense Primes and government stakeholders.
  • Strengthen positioning and engagement with leading Automotive OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.
  • Own and continuously refine company level positioning, messaging architecture, and narrative.
  • Scale marketing capabilities across brand, content, public relations, events, digital, field marketing, and demand generation.
  • Lead, develop, and expand the existing marketing organization.
  • Drive high impact campaigns to increase awareness across strategic global accounts.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Business Development, Product, and Executive Leadership to support long cycle enterprise and government sales.
  • Maintain hands-on involvement from strategy through execution.

Qualifications

  • 15 or more years of progressive marketing leadership experience, including Vice President level responsibility.
  • Proven experience leading marketing within the Defense sector.
  • Demonstrated success building and scaling marketing organizations in Series B, Series C, or later stage companies.
  • Experience owning positioning for complex, mission critical technologies.
  • Experience supporting long cycle enterprise and government sales environments.
  • Hands-on, collaborative leadership style with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high growth environment.
  • Strong interest in defense, advanced manufacturing, and industrial technology.

Requirements

  • Experience marketing to Automotive OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers.
  • Background in advanced manufacturing, robotics, AI, or industrial hardware.
  • Experience marketing large scale or capital-intensive systems.
  • Preferred residence in California, specifically the Los Angeles metro area, or the Washington, DC metropolitan area to support cross functional collaboration and government engagement.

Benefits

$200,000 - $250,000 a year. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, qualifications, and geographic location. This role may be filled in multiple locations, and compensation may vary depending on the candidate’s work location in accordance with applicable state and local pay transparency laws.
