Role Description

This role involves providing risk management support and advice to members of the sponsoring dental associations.

• Advisor/liaison for risk management calls from TDIC sponsoring association members.
• Researches risk management issues involving analysis of claims data, industry trends, regulatory, statutory and legal developments.
• Collaborates with team to identify article topics for addressing risk management issues for dental publications.
• Researches and develops self-study courses and seminars, presentations, products and services specific to identified coverage needs.
• Presents live, in-person risk management seminars to educate members and dental students.
• Participates in Risk Assist Program to provide targeted risk management assistance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years’ risk management, dental office, or other similar business experience.
• Knowledge of insurance, dentistry, and/or healthcare risk management.
• Ability to effectively partner with clients and customers to answer questions and problem solve.
• Demonstrated public speaking skills, including the ability to develop and deliver live presentations.
• Demonstrated technical writing skills.
• Ability to work well independently and within a team environment.
• Ability to manage multiple projects.
• Proficient computer skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field recommended or equivalent experience.
• Risk management experience.
• Front and/or back dental office experience.
• RDA or RDH license.
• Public speaking experience.
