Job Description
Role Description
We are seeking a Senior Instructional Designer to design and develop performance-driven training for a complex FinTech / SaaS financial services product supporting customer-facing agents. This is a senior-level individual contributor role focused on building high-impact eLearning, system simulations, and blended learning solutions in a fast-paced, enterprise environment.
- Design and develop end-to-end learning journeys for FinTech and SaaS product training
- Conduct needs analysis and translate business requirements into instructional design strategies
- Build and create detailed storyboards, scripts, and design documentation
- Develop domain-rich curriculum aligned to agent performance metrics
- Translate complex financial systems, software workflows, compliance requirements, and product functionality into clear, learner-centered content
- Design scenario-based training that mirrors real-world customer support and call center interactions
- Support compliance training and regulatory-driven learning initiatives
- Strong collaboration with SMEs, product managers, and cross-functional stakeholders
- Develop advanced system simulations using Articulate Storyline (complex triggers, variables, branching logic required)
- Build interactive eLearning modules using Articulate 360 (Storyline & Rise)
- Create microlearning and reinforcement assets for product releases and feature updates
- Design interactive video learning experiences using Synthesia
- Develop assessments, knowledge checks, and performance support tools
- Review and modernize existing software training content to improve engagement and learning effectiveness
- Use AI tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, NotebookLM) to accelerate storyboard drafting, script writing, and content development
- Generate realistic agent scenarios and branching customer conversations
- Prototype interactive learning assets
- Analyze learner data and recommend performance optimization strategies
Qualifications
- 7–10+ years of experience as an Instructional Designer
- Advanced proficiency in Articulate Storyline (enterprise-level simulations required)
- Demonstrated experience building and creating detailed instructional design storyboards
- Experience designing FinTech, SaaS, financial services, or enterprise software product training
- Experience developing training for customer support agents or call center teams
- Strong background in adult learning theory and performance-based learning design
- Ability to manage multiple instructional design projects in a fully remote environment
Requirements
- 1099 or C2C Contract Details (No W2)
- 6-month contract (strong likelihood of extension)
- 100% Remote (U.S. or Canadian candidates only)
- Start date: March 2026
- 40 hours per week
- $55-$65/hour (C2C or 1099), based on experience
- Standard U.S. business hours (EST/CST/MST/PST)
- Heavy Slack collaboration
